Clash for Windows (CFW) was once the most popular Clash desktop client, but the author deleted the repository and ceased maintenance in November 2023. It no longer receives security updates or support for new protocols. We strongly recommend migrating to Clash Verge Rev, which is fully compatible with CFW subscription formats โ migration is seamless.

For desktop, Clash Verge Rev is our top pick โ it's the most feature-complete and actively maintained desktop client, supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux perfectly. If you also need Android support, FlClash is an excellent choice as it covers both desktop and Android. For iOS, we recommend Clash Plus (free) or Stash (paid).
While installed copies of CFW may still run, it no longer receives updates, doesn't support newer protocols like Vless and Reality, and may have unpatched security vulnerabilities. We strongly recommend migrating to Clash Verge Rev โ the process is simple: just paste your subscription link into Verge Rev, and you're done. No additional configuration is needed.
This is normal for open-source clients that don't purchase commercial code-signing certificates.
Windows: In "Windows Security," click "Run anyway."
macOS: Go to "System Settings โ Privacy & Security" and click "Open Anyway," or run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/AppName.app in Terminal to remove the quarantine flag.
Mihomo (formerly known as Clash Meta) is the most actively developed fork of the Clash core. It builds upon Clash Premium with added support for newer protocols like Vless, Reality, and TUIC. Since the original Clash and Clash Premium repositories have been deleted and development has stopped, Mihomo has become the de facto standard core. All recommended clients above use Mihomo by default.
On the GitHub Releases page, look for files containing aarch64 or arm64 (Apple Silicon native). If you're unsure, download the "universal" version โ it will automatically adapt to your chip architecture.
